Documentary on Robaina, at Havana Cigar FestivalPinar del Rio, Cuba, Feb. 3. -Dedicated to Don Alejandro Robaina, a legend of Cuban tobacco, the documentary "Vegas Robaina, a Latent Imprint", will be screened at the Havana Cigar Festival, set for February 27 in Havana.

The 27-minute-long documentary is a tribute to the tobacco farmer, who died in 2010, a real work of admiration and respect for his figure and legacy, Armando Alvarez, one of the filmmakers, told Prensa Latina.

This is an audiovisual project that compiles unpublished images of the farmer, anecdotes, experiences of relatives and friends in the municipality of San Luis, in Pinar del Rio province, his birthplace.

Awarded with the title Habano Man, Robaina welcomed neighbors, politicians, business people, singers and filmmakers in his farm El Pinar.

The documentary is a beautiful idea that pays deserved tribute to my grandfather, said Hiroshi Robaina, who told Prensa Latina that the film will compete in the upcoming Havana Cigar Festival.

Known around the world as an ambassador of Havana cigars, Don Alejandro devoted his entire life to the Vegas Robaina brand, a brand of five vitolas that has been successfully commercialized on the domestic and international markets.(Prensa Latina)
