Students in Santa Cruz del Sur participate in contest on the Cuban Five

Some 15 works were presented at the Jesús Suárez Gayol High School in Santa Cruz del Sur, about the contest related to the cause of the Five Cuban Heroes. The event was sponsored by the Local Youth Communist League’s Direction, and attended students from the five centres of the Federation of High School Students (FEEM) existing in this territory.

According to Yunior Hierrezuelo Martínez, youth leader, some of these presentations will be exhibited next October 14th during the Local Assembly of the FEEM.

About 80 delegates will attend the southern Camagüey encounter, where the work of students in these grades in the struggle to free our five fellowmen will be showed.

The FEEM was created in December 1970, with the idea of revitalizing this movement and strengthening the mass organizations. It was preceded by the High school Students Union and the José Antonio Echeverría Brigades, which contributed with significant experiences for the foundation of the new group.
