Cuban Legislators Focus on Economic, Judicial Issues

Havana, Dec 14. -The Peoples' Power National Assembly (Parliament) of Cuba will focus deliberations of its 8th Ordinary Session of the 7th Legislature on economic and judicial issues, scheduled for December 23.During discussions, to be held at Havana's Conference Center, participants will approve projects, including the Economic Plan and Budget for 2012.

Also on the list are preliminary results of the economic and budget execution of 2011, and information on the course of the process of implementation of the agreements of the 6th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party, held in April, Granma newspaper reported.

Legislators will also hear a report of the National Institute for Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, and the result of tasks carried out by the permanent commissions on International Relations, Industry, and Constructions, the daily stated.

The 12 permanent commissions of the Parliament will hold meetings on December 20-21 to analyze, among other issues, reports on the Plan and Budget projects. (Prensa Latina)
