Machado noted this weekend in the Provincial Assembly of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) in the western province of Artemisa that it should start training its work force and preparing the conditions in the field.

According to the Cuban TV morning newscast, he added that this port should be given the required attention and should get everything it needs.

The Cuban VP mentioned the positive results it will bring about for the economy of the country and affirmed that other investments will be made in the nearby area.

This port, located about 50 kilometers west of Havana, will have capacity for moving one million containers per year, and its harbor will receive Postpanamax ships, which will gradually increase as a result of expansion works in the Panama canal.(Prensa Latina)
