Science and conscience distinguish nursing staff from Santa Cruz del Sur

Santa Cruz del Sur, May 27. –The nursing staff from Santa Cruz del Sur extends the thoughts and the acting with science and conscience beyond the walls of an institution, increasing the sensitivity to benefit the population. The responsibility of these men and women develops and transforms constantly, taking into account the needs of every patient.

Three hundred and eighty four nurses, most pf them women, are distinguished by the ethical principles, applied since the very administration of medicine to the patients, the cures for diverse causes, the checking of the vital signs, the looking after and psychological support to the patient and his/her relatives.

The constant preparation has given 147 graduates, 21 masters, six specialists on integral attention to women, urgency and emergency, hygiene and epidemiology and first aid, including technicians, basic post graduate courses and 32 students in preparation as fruit.

To Aristotle, mind and body health were fundamental for a good life. And today we agree with the philosopher from ancient Greece, because we think if men have any personal right as human beings, then we have the absolute and moral right to enjoy good health, as much as the society can give us. And in Cuba we work hard on it!
