Kingston, Apr 15. -More than 17,000 tourists chose Jamaica as the leading Caribbean destination among other options that include best drinks and music festival.
The survey that was conducted by the magazine Caribbean Travel and Life and published this week, ranked Jamaica as one of the most rated in the area between the 24 categories of the Reader's Choice awards to the best of the Caribbean.
Red Stipe beer and Appleton rum, Reggae Sumfest that is a popular music show held every summer, and Half Moon golf course, located in Montego Bay, northwest of Kingston, ranked among other local attractions.
Jamaica, a major cruise destination in the region, received during the last peak season over two million visitors, which meant 766 million USD in revenue for the country (Prensa Latina)
