Self-employment increases in Santa Cruz del Sur

Santa Cruz del Sur, Apr 14. –As an employment alternative in Southern Camaguey, around 500 people have registered in the Local Body of Employment, in order to be self-employees.

From January to the date, more than 200 licence applications were passed by this local body and the most demanded jobs were those of carpentry and production-selling of food, where the little outdoor bars.

Seventy of these self-employees are wage earning workers in several entities of this city, while a great deal of the rest are retired people, housewives, people that find in this kind of job, another money income for their family economy, and also contribute with the macro-economy.(Yamilé Agrenot Castillo / Radio Santa Cruz)
