Cuban Culture Week Begins in Bordeaux

Cuban Culture Week Begins in Bordeaux Paris, Apr 6. – The Cuban culture week will begin on Friday in Bordeaux, organized by students of the University Institute of Technology of that port city in southwestern France, and sponsored by various organizations and institutions.

The program of activities will begin with the opening of a photo exhibition on Cuba, taken by 33 students of the aforementioned institution during their internship last year at the University of Oriente, in Santiago de Cuba.

The Novartsud gallery will be also opened, in downtown Bordeaux, including an exhibition of prints, paintings and ceramics by Cuban artist Israel Tamayo.

The exhibition consists of 34 works, most of which were made in 2011 and 2012, on various subject matters, Tamayo told Prensa Latina.

Tamayo emphasized the importance of such meetings to strengthen relations between the two countries and between the cities of Santiago de Cuba and Bordeaux.(Prensa Latina)
