Mexicans Demand Release of Cuban Five Oaxaca, Mexico, Mar 12. – The unanimous condemnation of the injustice and requests for the release of five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly held in U.S. prisons is one of the priorities of the Mexican Movement of Solidarity with Cuba.

More than 400 delegates from 20 Mexican states ratified their support for the Cuban Five in the final declaration of the 17th National Meeting of Solidarity, held in the Oaxaca capital over weekend.

"We strongly condemn the atrocities committed by the U.S. government with the Cuban Five, who have been unjustly condemned for defending their homeland and have spent 13 years deprived of their freedom and their most elemental rights," the document states.

Participants in the event reiterated the demand for an end to the blockade imposed on Cuba by consecutive U.S. administrations for over five decades.(Prensa Latina)
