Brazilian Beach Volley Team Qualified in Grand SlamBerne, Jul 7. -Brazilians Rhooney de Oliveira Ferramenta and Pedro Solberg qualified this Wednesday in the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour Gstaad Grand Slam, Switzerland.

Ferramenta-Pedro, who were the favorite in the qualification stage, defeated Angolans Morais Abreu-Mario Silva 2-0 (21-10 and 21-16). Then they defeated Kazakhs Alexey Sidorenko-Alexandr Dyachenko 21-19 and 29-27.

Those victories place them among the first 32, among whom are Brazilians Emanuel Rego-Alison Cerutti, Marcio Araujo-Ricardo Santos and Bruno Schmidt-Benjamín Insfrán.

Ferramenta-Pedro will meet tomorrow U.S Todd Rogers-Philip Dalhausser, who are considered favorites, and then will meet Latvian Martins Plavins-Janis Smedins. If they win those matches they will go on to the round of sixteen. (Prensa Latina)
