According to the president of the National Visual Arts Council, Ruben del Valle Lantaron, the biennial will be a challenge for its organizers due to the economic limitations Cuba is currently facing.

The biennial will take art to the main streets of this city, which means another challenge for the curators, said the executive.

Artwork will be exhibited on HavanaâÖs Malecon, Avenue 23, the Port Avenue, the squares of HavanaâÖs historical center, and one of the halls of HavanaâÖs Grand Theater.

The director of the biennial, Jose Fernandez, said that the event will be a big fiesta of Cuban art and will be a space for talks and interaction between different generations with new proposals.

The event will include the Cuban diaspora that maintains ties with the island, he said. (Prensa Latina)
