International Seminar of Nanoscience in Cuba

International Seminar of Nanoscience in CubaHavana, Sep 1. -The 3rd International Seminar of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology will be held in Havana next September 6-10.

Participating in the Seminar, sponsored by the Scientific Adviser's Office and the Center for Advanced Study in Cuba (ECAC), are members of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), Ministry of Informatics and Communications, Cuban Ministry of Higher Education and of the scientific institutions in the country.

Among the topics to be discussed are: Bionanothechnology, Biomedicine, Functional Nanomaterials and Nanostructures.

The main objective of the Seminar is to unify and focus the different fields of nanosciences and nanotechnologies that can be applied to nanomedicine, functional nanomaterials, computer modeling and nanotools.

For over a decade the topics related to nanosciences and technologies have been fast growing in almost all scientific and engineering disciplines.

The possibility to have control over the fundamental mechanisms in the nanoscale and at molecular levels, through a greater capacity to understand and control the basic properties of ultra small systems, is what gives new and unlimited possibilities to the future. (Prensa Latina)
