Havana, Aug 18.- The ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago to Cuba, Jenifer Jones Kernahah, highlighted today the strong ties between both countries during the announcement of a cultural event to celebrate the 50th anniversaries of Trinidad and Tobago's Independence.

In Cuba we have friends who have worked a lot for cultural cooperation between our countries, said Kernahah when presented the events' program, which includes screening of documentary on her country.

The activities will take place from August 23 to 30 in Havana.

The agenda also includes conferences on the achievements of Trinitarian women, during the current mandate of the first woman leading that country, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

Kernahah also thanked Cuba's and trainer Ismael Lopez' support for the only gold medal of her country in London 2012 Olympics, which was won by javelin thrower Keshorn Walcott, 19. (Radio Cadena Agramonte)
