Nicaraguan Government to Grant 2,374 Title Deeds

Managua, Jan 31. -The government of Nicaragua will give 2,374 titles to the same number of families on Thursday, in order to make them legal owners of the lands where they live and work.In a statement on Multinoticias television program, the coordinator of the Council of Communication and Citizenship, Rosario Murillo, said that over 1,000 documents of the total will be granted to women.Those women will be representatives that day of the process for the recovery of the rights of the Nicaraguan women, said Murillo.

The official announced that Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega will give the title deeds along with Cardinal Miguel Obando, who on the occasion that day of his 86th birthday will receive a tribute from the government for his outstanding work at the service of the people.

Based on a policy of the restitution of land rights, the Executive has given many documents of titles without any cost to the population in the last few months. (Prensa Latina)
