Washington, Dec 2. – Organizations of Cuban immigrants in Miami have called a conference on the Five Cuban antiterrorist heroes and political prisoners of the US government, according to a communiqué from the Jose Marti Alliance.
The conference will take place at a hotel in downtown Miami on Sunday, December 4, added the note.
The event is expected to discuss the appeal process of Fernando Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino and Antonio Guerrero, as well as the situation of Rene Gonzalez, who is under supervised release after serving his long sentence.
On September 18, 2011, the Jose Marti Alliance held a similar conference in Miami and was attended by about 100 people.
The Miami-based Jose Marti Alliance is formed by a group of organizations that demand the release of the Cuban Five, as they are internationally known, and reject the policy of state terrorism maintained by the US governments on Cuba.(Prensa Latina)
