Dom Rep Marks Cuban Culture Day in Mind with Cuban 5

Cuban ambassador Alexis Bandrich thanked the presence of activists from groups of solidarity with Cuba, the Association of Cuban Residents in Dominican Republic, and the Committee to Free the Five.

Perucho Figueredo, outstanding intellectual and patriot from Bayamo, Cuba, along with other independence leaders sang for a first time 143 years ago, on October 20, 1868, what would be the Cuban National Anthem, a call to fight for freedom.
