Cuba, Russia Sign Financial Cooperation Agreement
Havana, Dec 1. -Cuban and Russian authorities signed a memorandum of technical cooperation in financial matters including budget and fiscal policies.The agreement was inked by Russian vice Minister of Finance Tatiana Nesterenko and her Cuban peer Félix Martínez, Granma newspaper reported on Thursday.
The source notes that the memo will allow both sides to strengthen ties in budget, fiscal, legal regulation, planning and accounting issues.
During the signing ceremony, Cuban Minister of Finances and Prices Lina Pedraza described the memorandum as "a positive step of mutual benefit for the two nations." (Prensa Latina)
