Havana, Oct 26. -Hurricane Rina remains a category two storm on the Saffir Simpson scale, as it moves through the western Caribbean and approaches the Yucatan coast.According to a report of the Meteorological Institute of Cuba (INSMET), the phenomenon has maximum winds of 175 kph and higher gusts, a minimum central pressure of 967 hectoPascals, but there are favorable conditions for further development, which could make it a major category three hurricane.
The forecast for the next 24 to 48 hours is that the hurricane will change its course to west-northwest while increasing its speed, and then turn north on Thursday. (Prensa Latina)
