Futsal, a summer option in Southern Camaguey

Santa Cruz del Sur Jul 6. -With the participation of six teams, made up of students and workers began this Monday the Futsal Cup in Southern Camaguey. This initiative was organized by the National Institute of Sports and Recreation (INDER), and its main objective is to stimulate the practice of sports.

According to Humberto Salazar Figueredo, football trainer and technical responsible of the event and Roberto Carlos Benito Labrada, representative of recreation activities, there will be three matches every afternoon as part of the Swiss-system Tournament , to be played in two rounds.

Each team is made up of ten players, but only five of them will be in the pitch, to play two 20-minutes times.

Moreover, there will be friendly matches against teams from Haití, Cándido González and La Jagua, so as to compose a local selection that will further participate in the provincial tournament from August 17-23.

Yosvani Delgado Revolta, experienced referee stated that all players know the rules established, in order to avoid indisciplines that might mar the competition.

The teams arecaptained by Yosbel Lachicot Martínez, Leider Bejerano Castro, Dayer Utra Manso, Daniusky Toledo Calderón, Yasmani Méndez Hernández and Carlos Reyes Carmenates, who know how to lead their team-mates, going forward to pass the ball and score.
