Cuba, Angola Strengthen Cultural Links
Luanda, Feb 8. – Angolan Culture Minister Rosa Cruz e Silva will visit Cuba to strengthen cultural cooperation betwen the two countries according to Angolan news reports on Tuesday.
Invited by Cuban Culture Minister Abel Prieto, the minister will begin her agenda on Thursday, the Angolan Journal reported.
Cruz e Silva said she would attend the 20th International Book Fair in Havana, which runs Feb.10-20.
The Angolan embassy attaché in Cuba, Antonio Goncalves, stated the area with the most cooperation in the cultural sector is art education.
He said that 11 Angolans have been studying in Cuba for the last four years ago in music, theatre and dance expressions.
In addition he affirmed that five Cuban teachers are teaching in Angola at an art education institute.
Last April Abel Prieto visited Angola and the two ministries signed agreements to boost cooperation in different areas for projects of common interest.(Prensa Latina)
