Cuban Tropicana Show on Tour in Mexico
Mexico, Jun 24. -With a show at Champotón, state of Campeche, continues in Mexico the performance for the 70 years of Tropicana; the famous cabaret, internationally known as "a paradise under the stars".
The functions, which will end on June 28 in Merida, capital of Yucatan, recall the history of the facility associated with legendary figures of Cuban and universal culture, like Rita Montaner, Rosa Fornes, Nat King Cole, Carmen Miranda and Josephine Baker.
This tour of the Mexican southeast is part of the promotional campaign developed by the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba along with tour operator Divermex, staeted the representative of that agency in Cuba Alicia Perez Casavona.
According to official statistics, Cuba annually receives more than two million foreign visitors, which place it among the fastest growing regional places in the so-called leisure industry.
The first show, held on June 21 in the town of Campeche was attended by over 1.000 people, said Pérez Casanova. (Prensa Latina)
