Havana, May 11. -Cuban President Raul Castro and Russian Duma (Parliament) Vice chairman Ivan Melnikov, who is visiting the island, highlighted the excellent relations between the two parliaments and countries, local media reported on Tuesday.
According to a press release published by local dailies, and television and radio news programs, Raul Castro held a lively talk with Melnikov and his accompanying delegation.
Both leaders analyzed international issues and stressed the activities that took place in Moscow and Havana on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the victory over fascism.
Cuban National Assembly President Ricardo Alarcon, and Russian Ambassador to Havana Mijail Kaminin also attended the meeting. (Prensa Latina)
