Foreign Presence at Cuban Medical Meet

Havana, May 5. -Angiologists, hematologists and endocrinologists from Latin America, Europe and the United States will attend the 10th Caribbean Congress on Vascular Medicine and Surgery on May 17-21.

The Congress, sponsored by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) for South and Central America and the Caribbean, and the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis, will be held at the Havana Convention Center.

Specialists from Venezuela, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Slovenia, Spain and Italy have confirmed their attendance.

Epidemiology, physiopathology of the vascular diseases, endovascular surgery and the treatment of diabetic foot are among main topics of the agenda.

In parallel with this Congress, the 2nd International Symposium on Diabetic Angiopathy and the 7th Meeting on Thrombosis and Haemostasis will also be held.(Prensa Latina)
