Municipal Concert Band celebrated last May 3rd its 102nd anniversary

Santa Cruz del Sur, May 5. -The 27 artists composing the Municipal Concert Band tuned their instruments to celebrate last Monday, at 10 o’clock in the morning at the Najasa theater in Santa Cruz del Sur its 102nd anniversary.

The musicians exhibited a wide repertoire in the local Film Projection Room, including a potpourri with fragments of the National Anthem. And they also were accompanied by Candelaria Izaguirre, ex-member of this important musical group. 

Juan Ricardo poll, first secretary of the People's Power, students from several Education Centers and workers belonging to the Culture Sector attended the concert and contributed to pay tribute to one of the first orchestra-kind founded in the country. (Yamile Agrenot Castillo/Radio Santa Cruz)
