Havana’s Malecon has no visitors in Covid-19 times (+Photos)
Havana, May 10.- The emblematic waterfront of the capital known as Malecon has no visitors in Covid-19 times. This lovely place separates the sea from the city, and it usually plays the role of a relaxing bench for musicians, poets, lovers, anglers, friends and it is even used as a track for jogging practitioners.
Now, however, Malecon is empty, desolate (?) because of the dangerous novel coronavirus.
With an extension of eight kilometers, the Malecon treasures lots of memories, anecdotes and personal, family, tourist, romantic, dramatic and cultural stories.
Built between the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th, the Havana Malecon waits anxiously for the recovery of the city from the Covid-19 pandemic and the return to normality.
The signs of intense sunrays with the arrival of summer in a few days, reiterate the longing. Up to now the sea is Malecon’s only visitor and witness. (Prensa Latina)
