Brazilian Foreign Minister to Travel to Cuba Next Week
Brasilia, Jan 14. -Brazilian Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota will travel to Havana next Monday for a meeting with his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, and to prepare the visit of President Dilma Rousseff.A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that Patriota will stay in Cuba for two days and that in his meeting with Rodriguez, they will discuss issues of bilateral ties in the context of the preparation for Rousseff's visit to Havana.
The document adds that issues to be discussed between Patriota and Rodriguez include the strengthening of technical and scientific cooperation in areas such as health and agriculture, and regional integration.
They will also discuss Brazil's participation in major projects for the Cuban economy, with emphasis on the construction works in the Port of Mariel. (Prensa Latina)
