Cuba: Technology in Health at Informatics Convention

Cuba: Technology in Health at Informatics Convention Havana, Jan 27. – New information technology and clinical practice are the focus of the 8th international congress on information technology for health in Cuba, to be held in parallel with the Informatica 2011 computer science convention.

Experts from 35 countries are expected to attend this scientific event, to be held in the Cuban capital Feb. 7-11.

Clinical research, imaging and medical signals, as well as instruments for monitoring and diagnosis, are some of the issues to be discussed.

Delegates will be able to learn about the island´s development in information technology for areas such as STDs and HIV/AIDS, health monitoring, bioinformatics and engineering, and medical equipment.

The program also includes lectures and round table discussions on knowledge management, and information for this discipline, focusing on artificial intelligence and health applications, among others.

The International Congress of Informatics in Education and Geometry, and the Business Forum on Information Technologies and Telecommunications will also be held in parallel with the Informatica 2011 Convention.(Prensa Latina)
