Cuba, Venezuela Conclude Inter-Governmental Commission
Havana, Dec 19. -Cuba and Venezuela will close here on Monday the 12 Intergovernmental Commissions with the challenge of achieving more efficiency and effectiveness in projects approved for the two countries'' development.Participants in the Forum that started on Sunday at the Convention Palace in Havana were divided into nine working groups related to education, agriculture, electricity, transportation, commerce, culture, environment, sports and health.
We need greater revolutionary efficiency in the development of those projects, said the Venezuelan Vice President and co-president of the Inter Governmental Commission, Rafael Ramirez.
We emphasized the need to remove unnecessary or inappropriate expenses, explained the co-president of the Commission, Cuban Ricardo Cabrisas, after stressing that they assured the proven capacity for the efficient implementation of projects.
The progress of the investment process agreed must be achieved in accordance with the previous schedule, said Cabrisas, also vice president of the Cuban government.
The closed door agenda also included discussions on commerce and credits, the petrochemical industry and the production of sugar-based alcohol, as well as other operational aspects that affect the speed of execution.
The Venezuela Vice President appreciated Cuba's cooperation with the revolution of the South American country, which he said was marked by solidarity, complementarity and a fraternal working relationship. (Prensa Latina)
