Sugarcane harvest successfully advances in Southern Camaguey
Santa Cruz del Sur, Jan 13. –Santa Cruz del Sur welcomed 2011 with full disposition to successfully develop the sugarcane harvest, the workers from the José Ramón Sánchez Agriculture Cooperative (CPA), belonging to the Cuatro Esquinas community constitute an example of it.
Its 67 cooperatives send the sweet grass to the Batalla de las Guásimas sugarcane Industry, from the close municipality of Vertientes, objective that they will try to achieve on time in the resent season.
Eugenio Olazábal Jiménez, production manager of such CPA said that they count on the indispensable row materials to give more than 10 400 sugarcane tons in this season that has just started.
Likewise the members of the José Ramón Sánchez CPA do not put aside other production branches such as the bulls fattening and breeding, and the varied crops in order to contribute to increase the family basket of the people from this region. (Rolando Canaura Sánchez / Radio Santa Cruz)
