[:es]Symposium in Cuba Focuses on Water as Therapeutic Agent[:]

Havana, Nov 30.- The use of water as therapeutic agent centers the 3rd International Symposium on Medical Hydrology aimed at debating among national and foreign specialists on this issue.

The event being held at Havana’s Convention Center, together with the 8th Congress of the Cuban Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Rehab 2017) will approach interesting topics of this specialty.

Among these: Health tourism and thermal centers; Development Strategy in Rehabilitation in Cuba; Importance of Mineral Muds and Hydrology for Aesthetics, Health and Satisfactory Longevity. Also, delegates and guests from Europe, America and the host country will dialogue on: Natural and traditional medicine in Cuba; Medical hydrology in skin pathologies; Therapeutic use of muds and Immunologic response in treatments with thermal therapies.

The occasion will be used to reflect on the influence of the climate in the incidence of bone and articulation illnesses, thermal treatment in Cuban Elguea’s spa and the experience in the use of talasotherapy in patients with psoriasis.

Rehab 2017 includes several topics, among them: neurological rehabilitation, medical hydrology, interventionist rehab and neurophysiology.

Also, quality of life in rehabilitation, rehab of the oncological patient, pain and rehab, sexuality, reproductive health and dysfunction of the pelvis, manual therapy in rehab and ozone therapy.

Previously, courses pre-congress were held to approach topics such as: Reflex inhibition techniques that interfere with neurodevelopment; Importance of medical hydrology for health; Physical examination in the rehab and stem cell treatment in patients with marrow lesions. (Prensa Latina)
