Cuban Vice President Meets with Vietnamese Leader

Havana, Feb 26. – Vice President Esteban Lazo received Hoang Binh Quan, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and chairman of its International Relations Committee, it was reported Saturday.

According to Granma newspaper, the visitor talked about the outcome of the recent 11th Congress of the Vietnamese Party, and the economic and social objectives it approved for making the Asian country a prosperous and modern one by the year 2020.

During the fraternal meeting, in line with the high level of bilateral relations, both sides reaffirmed their desire to contiue deepening the historic ties between Cuba and Vietnam, the note said.(Prensa Latina)
