Cuba Opens 2nd Round of FIVB Men´s Volleyball Championship
Verona, Italy, Sep 28. -The matches Cuba vs. Serbia and Brazil vs. Poland will open the second round of the FIVB Men´s Volleyball World Championships Italy-2010 preliminaries on Thursday.
For this second round, the top three teams ranked in each of the six pools will play until October 2 in Milan, Catania and Ancona.
Those who make it to the third round will play in a Round Robin to qualify for the first to 12th places. The reminder will go home, as have Venezuela, Australia, Canada, China, Tunisia and Iran.
The top three ranked per pool are the following:
Pool A: Italy, Egypt and Japan;
Pool B: Cuba, Brazil and Spain;
Pool C: Russia, Puerto Rico, and Cameroon;
Pool D: The USA, Argentina, and Mexico;
Pool E: France, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria;
Pool F: Poland, Serbia and Germany.
