Raul Castro Leads Delegation to Caricom-Cuba Summit

Havana, Dec 7. -President Raul Castro leads his country's delegation to the 4th Caricom-Cuba Summit to be run December 8 in Trinidad and Tobago, Granma newspaper reported on Wednesday.Prior to the meeting, the Cuban statesman will officially visit Trinidad and Tobago, fulfilling an invitation by that country's Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, the daily states.

The Caricom-Cuba Summit takes place every three years, and is a mechanism of political exchange and cooperation to the highest level established on December 8, 2002 in Havana, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations of Cuba with Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Cuban delegation is also comprised of Minister Council Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca. (Prensa Latina)
