Angolan Press Highlights Cuban Visit by President of Parliament
Luanda, Nov 19. -Angolan press reports highlighted on Saturday the visit to Cuba of President of the National Assembly Antonio Paulo Kassoma, which further strengthens friendly relations between the two countries.ANGOP news agency said that the links between Angola and Cuba are exceptional, at an extraordinary level, and Kassoma´s visit to Cuba represents an opportunity for Angolan legislators to strengthen their links with their Cuban counterparts, and is an expression of the solidarity of the Angolan people with the Cuban people.
Radio stations here said that during a meeting with the President of the National Assembly of the People´s Power of Cuba, Ricardo Alarcon, Kassoma recalled the presence in Angola of Cuban President Raul Castro on occasion of an event at the Government House in 2009.
Titled "Kassoma in Havana", Jornal de Angola daily said that the Angolan top legislator has been in Cuba since Thursday on a seven-day visit, as part of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, and provides details about his busy agenda, including laying wreaths at the Jose Marti monument in the Revolution Square and at the Agostinho Neto monument in the Park of African Heroes, both in Havana.
