UEFA Criticizes Violence in Polish StadiumsLondon, Mar 31. -The Union of European Football Associations, UEFA, criticized the violence in soccer stadiums in Poland, which will host Euro Cup 2012 joint with Ukraine.

UEFA Operations Director Martin Kallen said that Poland knows that has a big image problem because there is always a violent person each day in the matches of the league, but the government is taking the right steps for the future.

Kallen, who is organizing Euro Cup 2012, said that after last Fridayâ�Ös events, when Polish fans created a chaos on a friendly match with Lithuania in Kaunas.

The riot ended with a police officer stabbed and 12 people arrested. More than 60 Polish fans were arrested after throwing bottles, flares and seats to the police.

Kallen said that the Euro Cup 2012 wiil be a celebration and said he was not concerned that those problems occur in that championship, because the disturbances are more linked to the matches between clubs.

Marcin Herra, coordinator of all Poland's preparations for the Euro Cup 2012, said that there would be zero tolerance for hooliganism. (Prensa Latina)
