Cuban Technical University Strengthens Co-op with Russia Havana, Feb 26. – The Havana-based Jose Antonio Echeverria Polytechnic University (CUJAE) is strengthening collaboration with Russia to use that countryâ�Ös experience in training Cuban professionals.

We are trying to use the influence of former Soviet, now Russian teaching received by our staff, Director of International Relations of the said polytechnic facility Jose Maria Ameneiros told Prensa Latina.

In this regard, he referred to a recent meeting held by representatives of the Southern Federal University of Rostov on Don with CUJAE authorities during which they agreed to exchange specialists, professors and students, postgraduate studies and joint research, audiovisual materials, scientific-technical information and results.

Susana Chapotin, specialist of the International Collaboration Office, said that they will use the CUJAEâ�Ös potentials to reach agreements like that signed with the Rostov University, and they will also use international cooperation, mainly with the Cadiz University in Spain, in order to materialize La Antena project, which envisages exchanges among universities in Cuba, Spain and Russia.

"We have contacted and organized all the graduates from universities of the former Soviet republics to stay in touch with those institutions and others with common areas or topics with CUJAE," said Chapotin.

"Now we have eight such agreements with Russian schools, and they are expected to be increased through the Ibero-American Department for University Internationalization Development supported by the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development," she said.(Prensa Latina)
