More than 1,000 Mexicans Study Medicine in Cuba Mexico, Jan 26. – Cuban Ambassador to Mexico Manuel Aguilera said that more than 1,000 Mexican youngsters are doing free medical studies in Cuba and half a million citizens were taught how to read and write by the "Yes, I Can" method.

In an interview granted to "Continentes" news program of TVC 207 channel, Aguilera described as normal the relations between the governments of both nations and said they boast a strong cultural exchange and bright prospects to strengthening links in trade, business and tourism.

Regarding this field, he said that the International Tourism Fair, to be held in Havana in May, will be dedicated to Mexico, as an expression of cooperation and solidarity links between the two peoples.

Aguilera highlighted the long-standing links of brotherhood between Cuba and Mexico, which he described as indestructible, and expressed satisfaction for teaching Mexicans how to read and write through the "Yes, I Can" method created by the Cuban Education Ministry with excellent results in different countries.(Prensa Latina)
