Informatics fair Convenes Experts from 35 Countries in Cuba Havana, Jan 25. – More than 2,000 experts from 35 countries are confirmed to discuss independence, convergence and technology integration at the 14th International Convention and Fair Informatica 2011, organizers reported.

Tuesday that the purposes of the event include promoting technological sovereignty through the wide participation of national knowledge in projects and finding solutions.

The forum that is scheduled from 7 to 11 February next will highlight themes of convergence as a driver of development of science and technology, the Organizing Committee Chairman also said.

Integration is needed to undertake projects between Latin American peoples, especially among members of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of our America (ALBA), which has a large participation in the event, Perdomo added.

Perdomo stressed the participation in projects with the country's strategic technology partners in the sector such as China, Russia and Spain, and even between national organizations.

The Deputy Minister announced that two weeks before the start of Informatica 2,400 square meters are already hired in the exhibition fair, which will be attended by 85 companies, 60 of them foreign.(Prensa Latina)
