Successful Cuban Cultural Tour of Tunisia
Tunisia, Dec 25. -Tunisians said farewell with gratitude to a cultural delegation from Cuba that captivated Tunisians with their professionalism and multi-faceted performances.
The Cuban cultural events, performed on different stages throughout the country between December 19 and 24, and offered distinctive craft shows, painting, dance and traditional and popular Cuban music.
Painter Juan Arel Ruiz and craftsman Daniel Santander Alcantara provided the most enduring ingredient, visually speaking, with a collection of works with abstract tendencies with ornamental ceramics, and utilitarian and attractive clay jewelry.
Cigar roller Reina Vadillo provided a legendary touch, making cigars while singers and dancer gave presentations that became an occastion for reaffirming tthe Cuban essence of music and dance.
The Cuban delegation is traveling to Algeria on Saturday to perform there and in the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, very anxious to bring their art and solidarity to those people, who are suffering from the territorial occupation of Morocco. (Prensa Latina)
