Santa Cruz del Sur awards mailmen
Cuban Mail Enterprise(ECC) workers in Santa Cruz del Sur recently carried out an emotive act where their every day work of the postmen, always on the streets and paths, at any time, to deliver mails, publications, payments, money orders, and telegrams.Leonardo López Figueredo, Local director of ECC, highlighted the work of this personnel, who work hard to speed up the deliveries despite the long distances, in order to receive, the constant thankfulness by the people.
Marbelis Urquiza Gotay, Head of Operations, read the letter sent by Eliécer Blanco Prieto, President of the ECC, where the directive stood out how mail boosts interaction between citizens and distant enterprises, and also highlighted that despite the existence of new digital technologies, the mailman trade won’t be ever replaced.
In this town, every body knows Enrique Carmenates Iraola, who is mailman since 41 years:
“Because it is a job i like, i feel good by giving the people an affable treatment and an appropriate service. Although my health status is not the same as before, I keep on working hard for the image of the post office”.
