Cuban Children Theater Company to Perform at UN

New York, Oct 24. -UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2007, the Cuban children's theater group La Colmenita will perform on Monday at the UN headquarters in New York.Cuban Children Theater Company Performs in Harlem  According to the agenda, the company also expects to perform today at the Boses Educational Resource Center, an institution for students with disabilities.

In both performances, the play chosen is "La cucarachita Martina" (Martina Little Cockroach), a musical comedy in which the main ingredient is joy and the way actors are able to interact with the audience.

On Friday, the group directed by Carlos Alberto Cremata performed at the Hostos Center for the Arts and Culture, in Bronx, New York, and on Saturday at a public school in Harlem, north of Manhattan.

La Colmenita begins its third week of performances in the United States, invited by the Brownstone Foundation. This is a non-governmental organization emerged in the 90s, to promote the development of programs for education and culture.
