Socialists Begin Fundraising for Election Campaign

Caracas, Nov 15. -The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) is raising funds on Monday to finance its election campaign and is carrying out other activities for the December 5 regional elections.

The party self-financing process will conclude on November 22, a day before the campaign begins. The governors of Amazonas and Guarico departments and 11 mayors in eight states will be elected during the regional elections.

The collected funds will also cover the pending expenses of the legislative elections that took place in September, according to leaders of the ruling PSUV Yelitze Santaella and Rodrigo Cabezas.

The contributions can be made through accounts provided in the Venezuela and Bicentenario banks.

On December 5, more than 1.7 million Venezuelans will elect two governors and 11 mayors. (Prensa Latina)
