USA: Another Day of Solidarity with Cuban Antiterrorists

Washington, May 4. -The international Committee to Free the Cuban Five imprisoned in the USA has called for a new round of support for this cause.

We ask President Barack Obama to use his powers under the U.S. Constitution, as a lawyer, as a father, as a son, as a husband, as a Nobel Peace Prize, and end this terrible injustice, highlights a statement of the group.

As every 5 days, during the whole year, actions are unified and multiplied for the release of Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René González.

Next Thursday, the call is to send emails, faxes and telegrams to Obama at a time when more and more people from all over the world, take that day as a reference to bring their claim to the White House.

The event takes place in a particular context, because last April 25 the U.S. government asked the Federal Court in Miami to reject the petition for habeas corpus of Gerardo Hernandez, sentenced to two life terms plus 15 years.

The Five infiltrated terrorist organizations based in southern Florida to warn about their plans against Cuba. (Prensa Latina)
