Camagüey-resident Toledo Retakes Victorious Cuban Boxing Road in London

London, Aug 2.- The slight Yasnier Toledo resumed today the road to victory for the Cuban boxing at London Olympics-2012, after debuting with a 14-10 victory over the Chinese Qiang Liu in the second round.

World sub-champion in Baku 2011, Toledo won all the rounds, 3-2, 4-3 and 7-5 but had to hit more an inferior opponent.

With this victory, Cuba returned to the road of victory after the setback Wednesday by the super complete Erislandy Savon to the British by Anthony Joshu 16-17.

In another battle of the 60 kilos, the Puerto Rican Félix Verdejo advanced to the quarterfinals to win comfortably at Tunisian Ahmed Mejri by 16-7.

The Pre-Olympic champion in the Americas won all three rounds 4-2, 7-3 and 5-2 and now will cross gloves with Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko, current world champion.

"I have a chance because I'm taller than him and dominated the middle distance", Verdejo said about the match against Lomachenko who can put it in direct fight for the medals.(Radio Cadena Agramonte )
