Two New Ministers Appointed in Cuba

Two New Ministers Appointed in Cuba Havana, Jun 13 . – Cuba's Council of State on Wednesday announced two changes in the government, Granma newspaper reported.

According to the official note, the Council of State relieved Medardo Diaz Toledo from the post of Minister of Informatics and Communications and appointed engineer Maimir Mesa Ramos, current first deputy minister of the mentioned ministry.

Tomas Benitez Hernandez was also relieved from his responsibility of Basic Industry Minister. Engineer Alfredo Lopez Valdez, current first deputy minister, was named as minister of that organism.

Granma also stated that Diaz Toledo will return to the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, while Benitez Hernandez will be assigned other duties.(Prensa Latina)
