UK to Support Cuban Five

Havana, Nov 28. -The United Kingdom Solidarity Movement with the Cuban five antiterrorists condemned to serve long sentences in the United States will carry out several actions favoring their cause within the next months, announced activist Geoffrey Bottoms.

According to the Catholic priest and coordinator of the movement visiting Cuba, an evening will take place on December 1 in front of Washington´s embassy in London with the participation of relatives of Gerardo Hernandez, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez.

In 2012, we will present an exhibition with works of Cuban artists including those of Gerardo and Antonio, Bottoms told Trabajadores newspaper.

The priest, who has visited Ramon, Gerardo and Fernando in prison, stated the United Kingdom sets in motion different activities to make public the case of the five.

Bottoms also recalled the negative of the U.S. government for him to meet Antonio and Rene, who is on probation in Florida without being able to return to Cuba.
