ALBA for Medicine Control

ALBA for Medicine ControlHavana, May 25. -Representatives of Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador started on Monday talks to promote the creation of a center to control medicine of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA).

Participants in the meeting, running in Havana through Friday, are discussing the three phases of the grand-national project to be located in Havana, which was approved in the 5th Summit of the bloc.

At the moment, the initiative, which seeks to supply ALBA countries with essential medicines, is in the pre-investment phase, according to a Cuban TV news service report.

We are very happy for the way the countries have responded and the devotion and enthusiasm of all technical coordinators in fulfilling this task, said general coordinator of the project Rafael Perez.

With the proposed center we won't have to go to other markets to find medicine, and big powers will no longer play with the health of human beings, said experts consulted by Cuban TV news service.
