Santiago de Chile, Nov 22. -A 5.6 degree earthquake on the Richter scale shook central Chile, including the capital, on Tuesday early morning.The seism occurred at 04: 41 (local time) and was strongly perceived in the regions of Valparaiso, O´Higgins, Maule, Bio Bio and Metropolitana.
According to the he Seismological Service at the University of Chile, the quake´s epicenter was located at 41 kilometers deep and 45kilometers west of Santa Cruz locality.
The Office of National Emergency ruled out victims or material losses.
Chile shakes all the time and experts predict that a stronger earthquake of eight or higher degrees on the Richter scale could hit Chile at any moment. (Prensa Latina)
