For Pope`s Visit Santiago de Cuba Renovates Religious Institutions

The works go beyond the Archdiocese building, close to Mars Square, to benefit neighboring institutions such as the School of Nursing at the Medical University and local homes.

The Antonio Maceo Revolution Square and surrounding roads are also been renovated, because a mass will be held on Monday 26 at this place.

In the village of El Cobre, about 10 miles from Santiago, they are carrying out capital repair works of the Shrine which houses the Virgin of Charity (La Virgen de la Caridad), which was discovered in the Bay of Nipe 400 ago.

The Pope will make a private visit on March 27 to EL Cobre, where other ecclesiastical facilities, roads, and houses are also restored.(Prensa Latina)
