Venezuela’s PSUV Praises Creation of Social Missions
Caracas, Dec 14. -The Venezuela United Socialist Party (PSUV) applauded on Wednesday the recent creation of social missions aimed at ending extreme poverty, boosted by President Hugo Chavez, the leader of that political group.In an interview for the morning TV program "All of Venezuela" the PSUV South-western Vicepresident Yelitze Santaella expressed satisfaction for the implementation of the missions "Sons of Venezuela" and "With Great Love" because they are an act of social justice that the Head of State is carrying out with the revolution for the Venezuelan people.
She considered those governmental inclusive projects a human gesture of the administration that awakens the hope of defenceless citizens.
She said that thanks to the social investment carried out by the government the revolutionary process pays attention to the people and defends the excluded.
She noted that the National Assembly recently approved the 2012 budget that is around 297 billion Bolivars (about 69 billion dollars) from which 40 percent is allocated to the Venezuelan people regardless of their social class, to social investment and to people excluded by previous administrations.
In addition, Sanatella highlighted that PSUV collected six millions Bolivars (1.3 million dollars) from November 15 to December 9 as part of the activities of the organization to finance itself.
The With Great Love Mission is aimed at benefiting elders living in extreme poverty, with a pension granted by the state regardless of whether they paid their quota in the past for Medicaid.
The Sons of Venezuela project will financially help pregnant women, teenagers, mothers, children with disability regardless age and families whose monthly income is below the minimum salary and with up to three members of the family under 18. (Prensa Latina)
